| A fine line By Magoo * In close games (7 points or less) this season the Steelers hold a record of 2-4 in 2004 they were 6-0. * 3 of the Steeler's 5 losses have come on the game's final play. * Rookie tight end Heath Miller is one TD catch away from tying a team record for most TDs by a rookie tight end. Miller needs 3 TD catches to tie the Steeler record for most TDs by a tight end. * In the game against the Bengals last Sunday QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 29 passes in 41 attempts, good for 3 TDs and 386 yards. All were personal bests for the second year signal caller. * The Steelers will face a division leader for the third consecutive week. At this point 1 out of 3 wouldn't be bad. * Although a win on Sunday would be a boost the the city's morale still it's a sobering thought that the team will need to win 6 games to get to the Super Bowl. * If the Steelers are unable to make the playoffs this year look for the fire Cowher bandwagon to become larger and more vocal. * At first glance the Pirates getting slugger Sean Casey for lefthand starter Dave Williams looks like a steal. At second glance the deal appears to be one that will have the Pirates scrambling to trade Casey before the trading deadline in July. Unless of course the Pirates are in contenti... Naw! * The Duquene Dukes basketball program has fallen so far that they have become cupcakes on the schedules of the likes of Arkansas- Pine Bluff, Oakland, and Akron. * The Penn State football program has done a complete 180 this season. But for one play against Michigan they could be unbeaten heading into the Bowl season. Next season Joe Pa will have a devil of a time repeating. * Here is a scary thought... The Bengals are closer to winning a Super Bowl than the Steelers are. |
